The Cangiano Cup
In 1990, the Board of Directors voted to institute The President’s Cup Award to recognize the one T-Party member or couple who does the most to support the
Chapter in the course of the year. Through this award, we hope that more
members will participate in more and more events. In 1993, the Board of
Directors voted to change the name of the cup to
The Cangiano Cup to honor the memory of long time T-Party member Frank Cangiano.
It’s easy to get points . . .attend an event, volunteer to be an Event Chairperson
or recruit a new member. Most of all, become involved with the club!
Eligibility
Every T-Party member is eligible to earn this award. In all cases the question
of eligibility and the awarding of Cangiano Cup points shall be the
responsibility of the T-Party Vice Chairman and in the case of a dispute, the
Board of Directors shall hear and decide on the merits of the dispute.
Length of Competition and Award Announcement
The competition for The Cangiano Cup shall be on a yearly basis, running from October 1st through September 30th of each year. The winner will be announced at the Annual Holiday Party.
AWARD POINTS
Points will be awarded on the following basis:
100 Points for being an Event Chairperson.
100 Points for each NEW member you recruit to join the T-Party.
100 Points for each T-Party and/or New England M.G. T Register event you attend.
75 Points for each T-Party activity you assist with. For example, if you helped plan and
assisted with the running of a rally, picnic etc.
75 Points for each article you write and which is published in the T-Party Times, The
Sacred Octagon and/or any other auto
related publication. It is the responsibility of the member to submit a copy of
the published article (other than those in the T-Party Times) to the Vice
Chairman. (Note: Along with the points, submitting articles to the T-Party
Times will earn you the Editors
’ undying gratitude.)
50 Points for each T-Party and/or NEMGTR award you win in competition. For example,
placing in a rally or in a judged car display.
50 Points for each spouse, significant other and/or passenger seat participant attending a
T-Party and/or New England M.G. T Register activity. An additional bonus of 50
points will be awarded if the other person drives to the event in an additional
M.G., regardless of model.
50 Points for each Antique Auto Event you attend with your car other than a T-Party or
NEMGTR event. An additional 50 points will be awarded if you win an award. It
is the responsibility of the member to report attendance/award to the T-Party
Vice chairman within thirty days of the event.
Special Note: Bonus Points will be announced and awarded from time to time as the T-Party
Directors deem necessary.
Points Records: The record of points shall be kept by the T-Party Vice Chairman and will be
published from time to time in the T-Party Times.
