1948 MG YA FOR SALE
I've had a lot of questions for details on this car.
Paint is Cream and Crackers in color. Engine compartment is very tidy. Spare
tire lid is dented but repairable some paint repairs also needed but over
all looks nice. The frame DOES need some flat metal sections welded in
place. -this seems to be the typical repair needed on YAs over the years.
Might be worth pulling  body of the frame to really do the job first class,
but some  repair frame with body in place. Clutch is grabby but seems to be
getting better the more I drive it. Needs a new headliner kit and proper
hubcaps, which are available. Maybe new rubber motor mounts. It currently
has new Kevlar brake shoes,  4 new bronze brake cylinders,  new rear leaf
springs. With some work this could be a nice little touring car for an MG T-
lover. Stay dry in the rain!  Not many of these on this side of the Pond.
Active club and parts source in the UK. Uses some TD and TC parts. An
interesting little car with features like the first Rack and Pinion
Steering, Jack all System like a Rolls, large sun roof, wind shield cranks
open at the bottom, 4 doors, large trunk. Car starts, runs and drives and is
very original. Might consider trade. $17,500.

1953 MG TD

Completely restored and put on the road in 2000. Driven about 1,700 miles since, the car has approx 54,600 original miles. This car was in storage from 1972 until 1998 when I bought it, so the body and wood were well preserved – no rot and no rust.  Way too much to list, here are some of the highlights;

•  Color is Dark green with biscuit interior, top, tonneau and spare tire cover.
•  Most of the original chrome was re-chromed.
•  Rewired
•  There are some upgrades/mods made, petronics ignition, 5-speed trans., Moss rear main seal. I have all the original pieces and nothing detracts from the original car.
•  I have a bunch of spares (of course it’s British) and many of the original parts that I replaced.

The car runs, drives and looks excellent. It has won a couple of first place awards at local British car shows.

I would be willing to consider a trade plus cash for another British sports car (MGB, BGT, MGA, Triumph TR3, TR6, TR4, etc.), or other interesting vehicle – I’m open.  Whatever the trade is – it must be in very good jump-in and drive condition.
