We had 22 people attend the event on Sunday, April 22. At left and right are some of the group at our brunch spot, “In a Pigs Eye” right near the waterfront in Salem.

If you haven’t been to the Peabody Essex Museum in a while, it has changed quite a bit. This is the new entrance to all of the exhibits. It was previously a street.
We were fortunate enough to have a guided tour to show us the highlights. Frank, our guide (with the cane), had a vast knowledge of facts about the museum and its contents.

Part of the old structure of the museum is now used for weddings and functions. Many of the objects are behind glass to protect them from the people who attend the functions –and the glasses they carry!
This is a “Moon Bed” used by Chinese business men in early times. It is rumored to have been used in the movie “Flower Drum Song”
We found many examples of the “Octagon” during our visit. Here are a few.
