Every two years the British Marque runs a fun event called the Triathlon. It
consists of 3 events, a hill climb, road rallye and a car show. But it is
different than other events that you
’ve been to. . . the hill climb may contain stops, questions and answers, poker
cards and other things to keep it interesting. The road rallye takes you
through fabulous countryside, makes you get out and count items in a shed or
cemetery or has you doubling back over land you
’ve already travelled – just to make the other participants wonder if they are on the right track!
The car show is a judged and popular vote. The judges are susceptible to bribes
of any type and the popular vote can be swayed by begging, bribes and sometimes
“spirits”! But don’t wash your car first or you will be penalized! This is an “as is” show with cars parked just as they came back from the other two events.
Below are some of the pictures taken at this year’s event. We can’t wait to see where it will in 2009! We’ll be there.
Ok, so we took a little detour (missed a turn) and what did we see but two deer
playing on the side of the road. Dispite our little adventour, we finished the
rallye without any major errors.
